Depression

Depression

In our modern world we use the term ‘depression’ quite loosely to describe a wide variety of debilitating feelings. We’re not talking about serious clinical depression. It’s more a feeling of being ‘down in the dumps’, lacking in motivation, continually tired and listless no matter how much sleep you’ve had.

Energy levels are low, and the glass always seems to be half-empty rather than half-full. It can sometimes be difficult to decide why you feel ‘down’, as that ‘depressed’ feeling can seem to come from nowhere. It can be a helpless feeling. And the more you’re encouraged to ‘pick yourself up’ the worse it seems.

It’s important to talk to your doctor in the first instance to establish whether any medical intervention is called for.

And the good news is that there is a lot you can do to dispel the gloom and despondency, enabling you to rediscover your zest for life.

Hypnotherapy can help you learn to relax mentally (as opposed to be being tired and washed out). It can assist you to see things in a clearer light, and get a more realistic perspective on your life.

It can re-ignite your motivation and energise you to move forward. It can put that ‘spark’ back into your life.
